This subject provides a focus on understanding and working in diverse human service organisations (HSOs) in Australia. Students will learn about the social, economic and policy factors that contribute to organisational practices in HSOs and the wide range of organisational forms involved in the delivery of human services. From this knowledge base, the subject specifically examines the implications of these factors for human service organisations in rural and remote areas, as well as organisational contexts for working with Indigenous Australians.
