This subject helps cadet engineers to enhance their research skills by working in a research project to develop an appropriate research strategy to fill an identified knowledge gap, collect relevant literature data systematically, generate, analyse and interpret the data accurately. Cadets should apply their theoretical and technical knowledge gained elsewhere in the curriculum and the previous workplace to justify the usability of their research findings in civil engineering applications. The outcomes will be delivered in both written (thesis) and oral (thesis defence) formats. Bachelor of Engineering Capstone Thesis is supervised by an academic engineer from Charles Sturt University.
