A professional experience placement of 15 days in a primary school setting
This subject examines the nature of the school environment and introduces teacher education students to the ways in which teachers plan for effective learning and communicate as professionals in this environment. Students will engage with strategies for teaching and learning, classroom management, planning and assessment. Students will undertake 15 days of supervised placement in a primary classroom. During this placement, students will apply their developing understandings of curriculum, child development and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in their planning and teaching, and utilise a range of effective learning and assessment strategies to cater for diverse learners.
