The students' journey to become a health practitioner begins with this subject. Students explore the principles of professionalism and professional practice through a structured introduction to the practical aspects of the clinical environment. The subject considers theory and skill development in communication, cultural safety, ethical practice and patient care. A multi-disciplinary approach is undertaken through inclusion of historical and current imaging practices in diagnostic radiography, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy. The chest x-ray, bone scan and fundamentals of radiation therapy will be studied.
