    Master of Emergency Management

    Applicants who wish to be considered for admission to the course will have to satisfy all of the following criteria, which will be considered the equivalent of a four-year degree:

    No special credit arrangements apply.

    Note: there will be no credits granted, usually, with enrolments for this course, but each credit application will be considered on a case by case basis.

    Articulation

    The Master, the Graduate Diploma [exit point only] and the Graduate Certificate [exit point only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

    Graduation requirement

    Master of Emergency Management

    To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

    Graduate Diploma of Emergency Management [exit point only]

    To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

    Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management [exit point only]

    To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

    Course structure

    Master of Emergency Management

    Consists of four 16 point core subjects:

    EMG401 Risk Management in the Emergency Management Context (16 points)
    EMG402 Contemporary Practice in Emergency Management (16 points)
    EMG505 Work Based Project (16 points)
    EMG506 Literature Review (16 points)
    and
    unrestricted elective subjects totalling a maximum of 32 credit points

    Graduate Diploma in Emergency Management

    This is an exit point only course and consists of two 16 point core subjects:

    EMG401 Risk Management in the Emergency Management Context (16 points)
    EMG402 Contemporary Practice in Emergency Management (16 points)
    and
    unrestricted elective subjects totalling a maximum of 32 credit points

    Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management

    This is an exit point only course consists of one 16 point core subject:

    EMG401 Risk Management in the Emergency Management Context (16 points)
    or
    EMG402 Contemporary Practice in Emergency Management (16 points)
    and
    unrestricted elective subjects totalling a maximum of 16 credit points
