EEB106 Community Cultural Education Program (0)
Abstract
This subject is designed to broaden students' understanding of issues confronting the wider education community, through exposure to learning and teaching in non-secondary school settings such as PCYC, Juvenile Detention Centres, Sport and Recreation Centres, or international placements. Students undertaking this subject as part of the Bachelor of Education (TAS) are required to complete 70 hours of work placement in a workplace environment relevant to their discipline area, such as a construction site, farm, or restaurant. Students in Bachelor of Education (Health & PE) and Bachelor of Education (K-12) will be required to complete 35 hours. Active participation in the 35-hour or 70-hour placement will assist students in recognising that educational experiences are linked to wider social issues and contexts. |
