AbstractThis subject provides students with the professional knowledge and pedagogical practices that will enable them to be a teacher of secondary Human Society and its Environment. In this subject, students engage with conceptualisations of the HSIE curriculum teaching area and examine how these are represented in mandated curriculum documents. This subject examines the wide-ranging nature of HSIE curriculum content, with particular attention given to History and Geography and an understanding of the teaching strategies appropriate to the design, implementation and assessment of high quality HSIE curriculum teaching and learning programs that cater for the needs of diverse learners. |
