Abstract| This subject introduces students to the fundamentals of interviewing and news reporting practice for print and electronic media. The subject includes an introduction to writing for organisational communication. Knowledge of English usage is developed. Students are encouraged to consider how skills and knowledge from their undergraduate degree and/or work experience may apply to the journalism context. |

- introductory newswriting skills for print, electronic and online media
- interviewing
- reporting news conferences, speeches and meetings
- writing news releases, and other applications of newswriting in organisational settings. |
