Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management

Normal course duration

Full-time 3 years (6.0 sessions)

Distance education: 6 years

Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent: FTE). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.

Admission criteria CSU Admission Policy

Completion of a minimum of one year of study in a relevant certificate 4 course or above as accredited against AQF, provided by TAFE or other accredited vocational education provider

Credit CSU Credit Policy

Credit will be determined on a case by case basis relevant to prior learning

Graduation requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.

The course consists of 8 core subjects, 13 compulsory subjects (one of which is a 16 point two session subject) and 2 restricted electives.

Restricted Electives
Restricted electives can be chosen from any level 2 or above subjects with codes AGB, AGR, AGS, ASC, PSC, IRR, FIN, MGT or HRT. Other codes may be allowed if appropriate rationale is provided and accepted by the Courses Director. Students should also consider FDS305 – Quality Assurance.

NCDEA & GOTAFE Diploma of Agriculture

• Students will receive 8 x 8point subject credits for successful completion.
• Completion of the Articulation Program requires successful completion of the 14 x 8 point CSU Degree Course subjects and 1 x 16 point CSU Degree course subject as outlined in the course structure.
• The application of any NCDEA/GOTAFE student who seeks credit for partial completion of a NCDEA/GOTAFE course shall be considered by CSU on a case by case basis.
• Credits granted for NCDEA/GOTAFE subjects into the CSU course, based on alignment of disciplinary knowledge and volume of work, shall be:
  AGR156 , AGS100 , AGB165 , AHT274 , AGR237 , AGS300 , HRM210 & PSC270 .

NCDEA & GOTAFE Advanced Diploma of Agriculture

• Students will receive 11 x 8point subject credits for successful completion.
• Completion of the Articulation Program requires successful completion of the 11 x 8 point CSU Degree Course subjects and 1 x 16 point CSU Degree course subject as outlined in the course structure.
• The application of any NCDEA/GOTAFE student who seeks credit for partial completion of a NCDEA/GOTAFE course shall be considered by CSU on a case by case basis.
• Credits granted for NCDEA/GOTAFE subjects ino the CSU course, based on alignment of disciplinary knowledge and volume of work, shall be:

Professional recognition

Students are eligible for the Ag Institute Undergraduate Student membership to the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology.

Graduated students are eligible for full membership to the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology.
