The Bachelor of Theology (Honours) is designed to provide students with the opportunity for advanced study in theology and an avenue to postgraduate research study. Graduates are able to articulate a broad understanding of the scope and disciplines of theological study; show advanced competence in methods of theological research; and demonstrate advanced competence in one of the following specialist theological fields of Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Practical Theology and Church History. The course consists of two coursework subjects and a Project/Dissertation.

Admission criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Applicants to this course must have achieved either of the following:

  •  been awarded or eligible to graduate with CSU's Bachelor of Theology, or equivalent;

and

  • applicants will normally be required to have specialised in theology/divinity; and
  • attained a credit average or better in the Level 2 and Level 3 subjects taken

Acceptance into the program will be subject to the approval of the Course Coordinator and is at the discretion of the Head of the School of Theology.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
