In this subject students will build an understanding of the processes of planning and assessing creative arts with young children through working with a child and considering the intent of both the K-2 Creative Arts syllabus and the EYLF. They will observe, analyse and plan for and with a child to provide appropriate developmental learning activities. Students will demonstrate their understandings of various theoretical perspectives that inform arts education, and to critically analyse what they observe. They will access samples of children's work on line, analyse the information about the child's learning available in the samples and apply backward mapping processes to consider appropriate strategies for teaching the outcomes in child centred classrooms.
