This subject explores contemporary theories of English language communication with a focus on identity and intercultural contexts. It investigates variables that influence interpersonal communication in a range of contexts, including the role of culture, gender, and age. This subject will support participants to analyse and develop their own interpersonal communication skills and intercultural competence, and learn how to manage miscommunication.
