This subject prepares students for the business of Podiatry as entry level practitioners, including medico- legal requirements for podiatric practice. Students will gain knowledge of business management to enable development of a business plan for the establishment of a podiatric practice. Students will reflect on continuing development of their cultural capabilities and focus on their role as an advocate for Indigenous Australian podiatry clients. This subject also provides students with the skills to prepare an ongoing development plan for their professional development. Students will evaluate the professional standards, ethical principles and complaint notifications, with a perspective on maintaining personal wellbeing for continuing practice as a podiatrist.
