This subject has been developed to promote a positive transition to the university learning environment for students undertaking the Bachelor of Nursing. The fundamental aim of the subject is to prepare prospective nursing students for the academic requirements of the Bachelor of Nursing, and the implications and significance of beginning university studies. Further, it aims to provide a framework through which the prospective students can secure access to needed resources within their local communities before they commence the Bachelor of Nursing. The focus is on students' acquiring foundational knowledge and applied skills necessary for academic success, including time management, academic literacy and numeracy, basic computer literacy, independent learning and test-taking skills.
