Normal Course Duration

Master of Professional Psychology

Full-time: 1 years (or part-time equivalent)

Course duration is the effective time taken to complete a course when studied full-time (full-time equivalent duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern to determine length of study. Not all courses are offered in full-time mode.

Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Applicants must possess:
* the personal suitability to undertake professional practice as a psychologist, assessed through interview and referees' reports
* a four-year APAC-accredited qualification in psychology at Honours 2A level or better (or an equivalent qualification)
 

Credit

CSU Credit Policy

Due to accreditation requirements, academic credit can only be granted for subjects of an APAC-accredited postgraduate fifth or sixth year course in professional psychology.

Graduation Requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Professional Accreditation

The course will be submitted to the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council for accreditation as a fifth year of psychology, which when followed by one year of supervised practice would entitle graduates to become a registered General Psychologist.
