Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Applicants should hold:

  • a Master of Theology from Charles Sturt University with a Distinction average plus evidence of research; or
  • a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) with Class 1 or Class 2 Division 1 from Charles Sturt University; or
  • an award from another accredited tertiary institution, accepted by the University as equivalent to one of the above awards, and/or have demonstrated in study or professional performance potential to undertake research at a Master degree level.

Intending applicants should contact the Sub-Dean, Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Education to discuss the proposal before applying for admission to the program. In addition, applicants must complete a form describing their area of interest, which should accompany their application.

Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Research Advisory Committee.

Credit

CSU Credit Policy

This is a research degree.  There are no special credit arrangements for this degree.

Graduation Requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Course Structure

Students should contact the Field of Research Coordinator to discuss possible research topics.

Each student will be allocated one of the following research subject codes and will enrol in that subject for the period of their candidature:

  • THL611 Masters Research (Theology) Part-time (64 points)
  • THL612 Masters Research (Theology) Full-time (64 points)
