Building Equity and Diversity

The University aims to mirror the diversity of the community within its workforce. A range of initiatives support the achievement of employment equity at CSU with a strong focus on improved employment opportunity for women, people with disability and Indigenous Australians.

Charles Sturt University's relationship with Indigenous communities is a central focus of its commitment to its regions. The University aims to provide employment, education and research opportunities which support the aspirations of Indigenous Australians.  A range of initiatives including traineeships, academic fellowships, study support and academic leadership development strive to build employment and career opportunity for Indigenous Australians across all facets of the University.
