Building Equity and Diversity
Charles Sturt University (CSU) has a strong commitment to employment equity, to build a workforce that both reflects and is responsive to the social and cultural diversity of the communities it serves. A range of initiatives support the achievement of employment equity at CSU with a strong focus on improved employment opportunity for women, people with disability, Indigenous Australians and people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Our commitment to supporting the leadership and advancement of women includes a Leadership Development Program and a Senior Women’s Forum. The University also offers a range of initiatives to support staff in balancing family and work responsibilities.
CSU's relationship with Indigenous communities is a central focus of our commitment to our regions. The University aims to provide employment, education and research opportunities which support the aspirations of Indigenous Australians. A range of initiatives including traineeships, academic fellowships, study support and academic leadership development contribute to building employment and career opportunities for Indigenous Australians across the University.
