"Only connect the prose and the passion...Live in fragments no longer."

In a time of ever-widening divisions and escalating polarisation, these words from E.M. Forster's Howards End seem even more urgent than when they were first published. Our world needs peacemakers.

We are pleased to host the next ANSD Quiet Day on Saturday 30 May. This time will offer a warm circle of inspiration as we all seek to respond meaningfully in these times of ever-widening divisions and escalating polarisation.

Presenter Dr Frances MacKay will launch from the evocative words of author E.M. Forster: "Only connect the prose and the passion ... live in fragments no longer" to explore how different poets and writers have sought to uncover “the prose and the passion” within the fragments of their own narratives. The hope is to help us re-discover the passion and calling hidden within our own sacred story, the song that is ours to sing in these existential times.

The day will provide three input sessions with several spacious quiet times for personal reflection.
