Profile

As Associate Director, Laura works closely with the Director, Academic Quality, Standards and Integrity, and leads a dedicated team of professional staff within the Office of Academic Quality, Standards and Integrity at Charles Sturt University. In this role, she ensures that academic policies, processes, and decision-making are aligned with both institutional expectations and national regulatory standards.

Laura is a legally trained professional with a diverse background spanning legal practice, local government, and higher education. Her earlier career in private legal practice included work as a solicitor across a broad range of areas, including litigation, local government and planning law, and workplace relations. She later transitioned into the public sector, contributing her expertise to complex land and policy matters.

At Charles Sturt University, Laura has taught in the Centre for Law & Justice. She has also held a key role as an Academic Integrity Officer, managing and investigating academic misconduct cases. Across all roles, Laura brings a strong commitment to integrity, compliance, and transparent communication with stakeholders. She is a strong advocate for an educative approach to academic integrity, one that fosters fairness, clarity, and shared understanding across the university community.
