Abstract|
The BA internship is a subject for third year students in the Bachelor of Arts. While employers seek the generalist skills of literacy and they value the critical independence of the arts graduate, this subject creates direct employability options for third year students as they transition to the workforce from their various fields of Arts studies. With advice from the course director or advisor, this subject requires students to locate suitable opportunities (which can include goverrnment funded places or work in private enterprise). The internship must be relevant to their studies at university and must be different from any current position they presently hold. The subject is practical, but also, requires reflective work from the student, linking the skills of the workplace to the fields and disciplines of study in the BA. |

- The nature of the workplace
- The value of a selected integrating specific discplinary knowledge, theory or method to the workplace

Work Place Learning| This subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 10 to 15 days duration.
Students do an internship of 10-15 days that is revelant to the course and their career aspirations. The intership will be arranged by the students in partnership with the Course Director and must be in a position different from any substantive position they currently hold .
