Professional development

We offer a range of professional development opportunities.

We believe professional development is more than structured learning.  Echoing this philosophy, our staff are also encouraged to learn on the job and through others, including:

  • Participating in webinars
  • Undertaking secondment or higher duties roles
  • Participating in project teams
  • Mentoring

These opportunities provide our staff with a rich professional development experience.

Our education support program provides valuable assistance to staff studying part-time to obtain recognised VET or higher education qualifications.

Our staff are able to discuss their performance, career aspirations and professional development with their supervisor as part of annual employee development and review discussions.

Academic staff

As an academic staff member, you can also participate in the Special Studies Program which allows you to undertake professional, scholarly or research activity uninterrupted by teaching and other normal duties.
