QUASAR - Reflection and Planning Form
CSU is introducing a new online system QUASAR for recording moderation and reflecting on your subject. This system will replace the Online Moderation System from 201960 session. The Reflection and Planning form in the new moderation system, QUASAR, is where Subject Convenors record their reflections on how the subject is performing and what can improve it. This is the second form for most of you, that will be used in QUASAR.

Ensuring good learning outcomes and assessment align
What is a good learning outcome? Why would we rewrite the ones we have already? Writing assessment tasks to align with learning outcomes can identify that the learning outcomes need to be rewritten. Maybe they are not at an adequate level to meet AQF standards. Maybe they are not measurable. Maybe they don’t align with the learning activities. This session looks at a new tool to ensure that course learning outcomes, subject learning outcomes, assessment and criteria all align while looking at the quality of the learning outcomes. Explore the answers to these questions, or bring your own. This workshop is an opportunity to work through what needs to be in a good learning outcome. Who: This session is for subject coordinators, course directors and moderators

Writing Assessment tasks in alignment to outcomes and marking criteria
This workshop will assist you with writing assessment tasks that align to subject learning outcomes. We will consider the subject in the context of the course and what level of thinking is required for students to complete assessment of the subject. Using this framework we will develop assessments using a template with a worked example and then follow up with review questions. There will be opportunities for Q&A during the session. The session will be useful for staff developing subjects and reviewing alignment in already existing subjects. Who: subject coordinators and course directors
