DLT Professional Learning Calendar

Learning opportunities for full-time academic and sessional teaching staff are offered by a number of divisions and units across the university. The calendar can be filtered by faculty, or the search box allows you to search any words in the title or description.

Digital Literacy - introducing new student and staff resources
Digital literacy provides students with the skills they need to navigate our ever-changing world. Introducing Digital Literacy as a Graduate Learning Outcome ensures that we is creating graduates who are flexible and adaptable users and creators of information. This 30 minute presentation will showcase two new resources. One is aimed at leading students through what it means to be digitally literate in the world today, the other has some practical strategies and ideas for embedding the Digital Literacy GLO in your subjects and courses.

Writing Assessment tasks in alignment to outcomes and marking criteria
This workshop will assist you with writing assessment tasks that align to subject learning outcomes. We will consider the subject in the context of the course and what level of thinking is required for students to complete assessment of the subject. Using this framework we will develop assessments using a template with a worked example and then follow up with review questions. There will be opportunities for Q&A during the session. The session will be useful for staff developing subjects and reviewing alignment in already existing subjects
