Centring First Peoples: A Global Conversation
Facilitated and initiated by Uncle Lloyd Dolan, Wiradjuri Elder and Knowledge Holder
This brought together First Nations peoples from universities (UTS, USyd, UNSW and CSU), government agencies, and community organisations to discuss the future of First Nations governance within WIL Australia. As an outcome of this gathering, WIL Australia has established an interim First Nations Director to lead ongoing dialogue and guide the organisation’s direction during this important period.
We look forward to this leadership shaping a meaningful and culturally grounded pathway for First Nations governance within WIL Australia. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with the Board and committees, ensuring that a First Nations led approach sits at the centre of our development while aligning with the strategic priorities of the organisation.
