We employ a number of Engineers in Residence; professional civil and structural engineers working within the university who have relevant and up to date knowledge of industry standards, codes and best practices. Each of our Engineers in Residence have significant experience on a diverse range of projects.

Recent projects

Bowtells Bridge on 6ft track

After discovering through annual inspections that the cables of this bridge had worn dangerously, we designed a renewed bridge, bringing it up to modern codes, and redesigning it to improve longevity, all while keeping the same appearance for this heritage listed structure. The bridge stretches 80m across the Bowtells river and is part of the Six-Foot Track.

Cobar Sound Chapel

Teaming up with Architect Glenn Murcutt and composer Georges Lentz, we designed this sound chapel which celebrates the rugged beauty of the outback. Located inside an abandoned water tank outside of Cobar, the Sound Chapel is an immersive walk in art installation.
