We learn from children about issues that matter. Our research champions children’s communication rights, emphasising inclusivity, diversity, learning, and innovation. Solutions are generated by children with a range of (dis)abilities, geographical, linguistic, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.

We collaborate with families and professionals in 100+ languages and dialects. Our multilingual research supports children to maintain home language(s) and celebrate culture while participating in society. Our research supports professionals to see multilingualism as a “superpower”.

We work with early childhood educators, teachers, and allied health professionals (nursing, speech-language pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social work). Our research addresses equitable, quality early childhood programs and services, workforce sustainability, interdisciplinary practices, and transformation of the social, policy and organisational conditions that enable social justice.

We support children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) generating evidence-based practices for communication specialists world-wide (speech-language pathologists, educators, audiologists, interpreters). Our research enhances children’s strengths and reduces participation barriers.

We work with children, their families, communities and health professionals to understand and promote child engagement in a wide range of activities that contribute to their health and wellbeing.

We support children, families and communities to understand physical and mental health and wellbeing and to access and receive quality healthcare.
