Research Interests

  • Gender representation in documentary heritage collections
  • Feminist methodologies for managing heritage collections. I am motivated by improving diversity in the management of cultural collections and by deepening understanding of accountability, and therefore, recordkeeping, from feminist perspectives, for example a re-think of the concept of stakeholders. My key research method is practice-led research, drawing on my experience in media art and archives.
  • Current writing projects coming out of my recently conferred PhD deal with metaphors for collection management relevant to digital preservation and embodied knowledge and heritage that evades digitisation.
