Rural Health Education

Research Interests

I am currently employed as a Lecturer in Rural Health (Mental Health Project Coordinator), within the Rural Health Education Team at Three Rivers Department of Rural Health, Charles Sturt University.

My background is critical care nursing, having worked both in metropolitan and rural healthcare settings in intensive care, cardiothoracic care, mental health, and palliative care.

My research interests include gender and queer associated stigma and belonging in rural areas, the relationship between mental health and gender issues within the rural context, and gender and workplace violence in the rural context.

My current role has given me the opportunity to participate in various research projects, however I am only a very junior career researcher. Joining this network, I hope to engage in thought-provoking and meaningful conversations with like-minded academics who passionate about these issues in the rural context.
