Profile

For over twenty years, Nectarios has researched, taught, and published across several disciplines, including web/multimedia technologies, information systems, business intelligence/analytics, cybersecurity/ethics, and machine learning. As society increasingly relies on data scientists to manage and decipher growing volumes of data, Nectar’s enthusiasm for the latest trends in data analytics and artificial intelligence is particularly noteworthy. He is deeply interested in the societal impacts of these advancements and committed to using AI to unlock deeper insights and foster a better understanding of the data that shapes our world.

In addition to teaching and consulting, Nectar has previously worked as a CSU Postdoctoral Researcher at the Gulbali Institute, to aggregate a first-of-its-kind national barley agronomy dataset, and is currently working as a CSU Postdoctoral Researcher at the Murray-Darling Basin Cooperative Research Centre (1BCRC) to map online communities along the Murray-Darling Basin, assisting in the creation of a digital twin of the basin.
