Applicants should have a basic knowledge and understanding of using personal computers. Assumed knowledge is NSW HSC or equivalent 2 unit English and 2 unit Mathematics.

Successful applicants must have access to the Internet during the period they are enrolled in the course in order to complete course requirements.

Course Structure

Bachelor of Information Studies

The course comprises a core of 11 subjects (80 points) and 14 Elective Subjects comprising any 14 subjects (112 points) chosen from those listed in the Specialisations. Students commence the course with a three-day residential school.

The core requires completion of eleven (11) subjects (80 points) comprising one 16-point subject, seven (7) 8 point subjects, two (2) 4 point subjects and one (1) 0 points subject. This is the equivalent of ten (10) 8 point subjects.
