The aim of the Graduate Diploma of Management (Information Technology) is to provide the IT industry with professionals who have completed an advanced course of study in information technology management that is current, relevant and integrated with industry certification in this field. This course incorporates significant components of industry training, including formal industry-stream certification by Microsoft and Cisco, as well as traditional higher education.

The Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology) provides skills and knowledge in the areas of contemporary management practice and professional communications. In addition, students also choose to study human resource management or marketing, as well as an industry subject in the areas of security, networking, software development or project management.

Admission criteria

Master of Management (Information Technology)

For entry to the Master of Management (Information Technology) applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) and appropriate work experience. Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology) on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Management (Information Technology) and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology)

Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology) on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Management (Information Technology) and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Graduate Diploma of Management (Information Technology)

The Graduate Diploma of Management (Information Technology) is an exit-point-only course. Upon completion of the subjects in the Graduate Certificate along with two additional core subjects and two specialisation subjects from the Master of Management (Information Technology), students may elect to exit with the Graduate Diploma award.
