Steps to Applying

Step 1: Review your Job

  • Read through all the documents provided.
  • Ensure you understand the role. Seek further information if required.
  • Assess whether you have the required skills and experience to be successful in the role.

Step 2: Prepare your Supporting Information

  • Identify the information you are required to submit, paying particular attention to the selection criteria within the Position Description.
  • Prepare your written responses to each of the selection criteria.
  • Update your resume/curriculum vitae and referees.
  • Prepare a cover letter (optional).
  • Prepare and scan any additional supporting information.

Important Information about Attachments:

  1. Attachments are limited to 5 and must be no more than 60MB in size.
  2. Attachment filenames are limited to a maximum of 130 characters maximum and must not contain the characters * | / \ : ; " ' < >
  3. Attachment type is limited to the following:
  • doc, docx
  • txt, rtf
  • pdf, xps,
  • xls, xlsx
  • ppt, pptx pps, ppsx
  • odt, ods, odp
  • jpg, bmg, tif, gif, png

Step 3: Lodge your Application

  • Have all your attachments ready to upload.
  • Open the position vacancy on Charles Sturt University's website, select APPLY NOW.
  • Enter the information requested.
  • Click the Browse button to select and attach supporting documents.
  • Check your application, making sure all information supplied is correct and all documents attached.
  • Read the declaration and select the "yes" checkbox.
  • Select Submit Application to CSU. If successful, the following message will appear on your screen. At peak times it can take up to 10 minutes for the acknowledgement to appear.
