The first webinar in the series helped growers and advisors better interpret soil test results with more confidence and make more informed management decisions. Led by Cass Schefe, it covered soil sampling, test interpretation, acidification, buffering capacity and lime management, along with aluminium impacts in low pH soils, nutrient extraction methods, crop removal and key production thresholds.
The second webinar in our three-part series shares practical insights from both the soil and supply chain sides of Cool Soils. Dr Cass covers nitrogen management in a risky climate, outlining key strategies to improve efficiency and productivity, including legume nitrogen contributions, deep soil testing, fertiliser timing and placement, managing key soil constraints and using inhibitors where nitrogen loss risk is high.
Future Ready Farming explores how Australian farmers can stay competitive while responding to growing expectations around emissions and sustainability. The series covers key topics like emissions intensity, scope 1 and 3 emissions, soil carbon and practical ways to improve on-farm efficiency.
