Global WIL provides students with the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in their field of study while immersing themselves in a different cultural and professional environment.
These experiences can be faculty-led or independently arranged, and they help students develop valuable skills and global perspectives.
Students seeking to participate in independent global WIL experiences must obtain credit approval from their Course Director or Workplace Learning (WPL)/WIL teams. Once approved, students register with Charles Sturt Global to ensure they meet all Learning Abroad Policy and Travel Risk Management requirements.
Faculty-led programs are designed and managed by university faculty in collaboration with the global team. These programs offer structured and guided experiences but can be resource-intensive.
Students can access placements through exchange partner universities and approved providers. These placements offer diverse opportunities across various fields and locations, enhancing students' academic and professional development.
Charles Sturt University collaborates with various global WIL providers to offer a range of programs, including internships, volunteer opportunities, and specialised placements. These partnerships ensure students have access to high-quality, meaningful experiences that align with their academic and career goals.
