Western Region Academy of Sport (WRAS)

Our work and impact

The Western Region Academy of Sport (WRAS) supports talented young athletes across the NSW Central West by providing development pathways toward elite sport. Established in 1991 and based on the Charles Sturt University Bathurst campus, the academy delivers training, mentoring and performance support to pre-elite athletes.

Through its long-standing partnership with Charles Sturt University, WRAS combines coaching, sports science and athlete development programs to help regional athletes access high-quality sporting opportunities and compete at higher levels.
