About the committee

Charles Sturt University is required to ensure that all research involving human participants is conducted following the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (National Statement).

The Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) reviews research proposals for their alignment with the four values of the National Statement – research merit and integrity, justice, beneficence, and respect. Ethical research protects and supports participants, the researchers, and the reputation of Charles Sturt University. As such, human research cannot commence without ethics approval.

Meeting dates
