Join us for three exciting days at this year's Careers Festival, May 6-8, 2025.

Our expert-led workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and hands-on sessions designed to elevate your career. Hosted by the Careers and Skills team, the festival covers everything from resume building to leadership skills - giving you the tools you need to stand out in today’s job market.

We’re also excited to welcome three extra-special guest speakers to this year’s event:

  • Taking Ownership of Your Career with Alex Cuttiford – former AFL player and host of the Brand My Career podcast. Alex will share valuable insights on career development and personal growth to help you take control of your professional journey.
  • Interview and Application Tips with Ben Tobin – current CEO of AYME Group with extensive recruitment expertise. Ben will share practical strategies to help you stand out during your job search, from tailoring your application package to navigating interviews with confidence.
  • How to Run a Successful Business (and Still Have a Life) with Stacey Morgan – CEO of Roar Success and certified Business Made Simple Coach. In this engaging workshop, Stacey offers practical advice, relatable stories, and smart systems to help you balance business success with the lifestyle you truly want.

2025 Careers and Skills Festival Attendance Lucky Door Prize Terms and Conditions

By entering the 205 Careers and Skills Festival (Lucky Door) Prize you accept the following terms and conditions.

Promoter

  1. The promoter of the Competition is Charles Sturt University (ABN: 83 878 708 551) Panorama Avenue, Bathurst, New South Wales 2795 (Charles Sturt).

    Competition Period

  2. The Competition will commence on 6th May at 12pm AEST and close on 8th May at 7pm AEST (Competition Period).

    Eligibility

  3. Subject to clause 5, entry in the Competition is open to all residents of Australia (Entrant).
  4. Entrants who are under 18 years acknowledge and agree that they have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter the Competition.
  5. Current employees of Charles Sturt and their immediate family members and alumni are ineligible to enter the Competition.

How to enter

  1. Entry into the Competition is free. To enter, Entrants must attend a Careers Festival 2025 event. Each Entrant represents and warrants that all details provided with their entry card are true and correct.
  2. There is a limit of 1 entry per Entrant for each event attended.

Prize

  1. The random prize draw will be drawn at 2.00pm AEST Monday 12th May at Charles Sturt’s Bathurst campus at Panorama Avenue Bathurst NSW 2795.
  2. The 9 prizes (one per event) comprise the following (Prize):

1.      1 x Prezzi vouchers for the first (1) drawn Entrant of each event.

  1. Total value of the Prize is $50

    Prize conditions

  2. No part of the Prize is transferable or redeemable for cash.
  3. The Entrants who are randomly drawn as the winner will be announced on Charles Sturt’s website at: https://www.csu.edu.au/current-students/your-career and will be notified by phone or email using their details provided in their entry card within 2 business days of the draw.
  4. In the event that Charles Sturt cannot successfully contact the Entrants who was randomly selected as the winners within 2 weeks of the draw or such Entrants were ineligible, Charles Sturt will award the Prize to the next randomly selected Entrant, such draw to be conducted at 2.00pm AEST  26th May 2025 at Charles Sturt’s Bathurst campus at Panorama Avenue Bathurst NSW 2795. Charles Sturt will continue this process until an Entrant has been successfully contacted and has confirmed their eligibility to be awarded a Prize.
  5. Any decision by Charles Sturt regarding selection of the winning Entrant is final and binding.

Use of Social Media

  1. This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat or Instagram. Each Entrant releases those entities from any liability in connection with the Competition.

    Release and Liability

  2. To the full extent permitted by law, Charles Sturt excludes all liability arising in connection with this Competition, any entry or the Prize.
  3. Charles Sturt is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, incomplete or corrupted entry whether due to error or otherwise. Charles Sturt is under no obligation to accept any entry which is not submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Charles Sturt reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify (which may include the provision of a similar prize of equivalent value to the Prize) or suspend the Competition, in which case it will post a notice on https://www.csu.edu.au/current-students/your-career
  5. Without prejudice to any other rights of a party, each Entrant indemnifies Charles Sturt against any loss, claim or damage arising from the Entrant’s participation or entry in the Competition or winning the Prize.

Privacy

  1. Charles Sturt may collect, store and use personal information collected from Entrants in order to conduct the Competition and related purposes, including marketing and promotional purposes.
  2. The winning Entrant consents to the publication of their name and details, and agrees to participate in future Charles Sturt marketing, if required by Charles Sturt, which may include being interviewed and photographed.
  3. Personal information is managed by Charles Sturt in accordance with the Charles Sturt Privacy Management Plan. Any Entrant can contact the Charles Sturt Ombudsman about personal information held by Charles Sturt about them.
