Albury-Wodonga Student Representative Committee

The Albury-Wodonga SRC (AWSRC) puts your needs first. We're here to represent you and make sure university decision-makers understand your priorities.

Our role

  • Advance Albury-Wodonga students' needs with the university.
  • Administer an annual budget and manage spending for events, social activities and meals.
  • Organise and promote events for you.
  • Support our peers, student organisations and clubs.
  • Communicate with students and staff.

How we support you

  • Funds Cheap Tuesday and Thrifty Thursday meal deal subsidies through Vinbar at The Gums CafĂ©.
  • Support On-Campus Orientation events and activities through funding and providing resources.
  • Support Market Day and other networking activities throughout the year, including RUOK Day.
  • Plans, organises and funds annual popular events throughout the year, including Op-Shop Prom, Comedy Night, Back 2 School, and Karaoke Night.
  • Assisted with the development and implementation of on-campus Foundation Day events and activities.
  • Provide student clubs with funding.
  • Provide various subsidies to students for a range of different activities when representing Charles Sturt.
  • Purchases sporting equipment, board games, microwaves, tea and coffee for student use.
  • Raise important matters such as security, accessibility and inclusion to relevant departments within the University.

I want to advocate to continue building on Charles Sturt's sustainabilty practices. For example, making  undercover bicycle  storage areas for Murray Village available so more students can use their bicycles.

Being part of the SRC has enabled me to take action on ideas to further improve the Uni, whether it's further projects like a student led market or the new 'look how far we've come event'. Furthermore, if allows me to share questions and concerns from fellow classmates/housemates.

The SRC has the ability to bring fun events to life and to create a culture in the school of belonging and inclusion. It is an awesome thing to be a part of and I'm happy that I'm able to put back into my community at CSU.

I want to be part of the SRC because I genuinely care about the students at the Albury campus and want to help create a welcoming, supportive, and connected community. University is about more than studying; it’s about belonging, and I want to help make that experience positive for everyone.
I enjoy helping others and believe every student deserves to have their voice heard. As an SRC representative, I would listen to my peers, advocate for their needs, and work to improve the student experience. Whether by supporting student wellbeing, encouraging involvement in campus activities, or creating opportunities for students to connect, I want to make a positive impact.
I am proud to be part of the Albury campus and would love the opportunity to help build an inclusive community where every student feels valued and supported.
