Bathurst

I want to be able to help students feel more engaged with the university. I would like to also help students feel safe by being more involved in student support with events and campus security.

I want to be able to represent the students at the campus who are unable to get to talk about issues that are important and concern everyone.

I think of the SRC as a ‘voice’ for students.

Throughout my schooling I was privileged to be part of the SRC, helping run events, fundraisers and addressing student concerns with the relevant bodies.

I would love to join the CSU Bathurst student representative council and be able to continue helping to improve life on campus for all students.

I am outgoing and enjoy working as part of a team, especially in the running of fundraisers and event nights.

The Student Representative Committee is a fundamental part of the university which advocates and represents the voice and opinions of Charles Sturt students.

I have been involved in the SRC for the past two years, including this year as Vice President and I have a strong working knowledge of the important role the SRC has in maintaining a supportive, welcoming and lively campus. The SRC not only provides events and support for the social side of campus but it ensures its advocacy for all types of students.

Through my experience and involvement, I will make certain that the SRC remains a strong platform for students to raise questions, issues or suggestions to sustain and develop further, a flourishing student lead university. Through my role in the SRC, I will continue to advocate for students and their voices while committing to improve the enjoyment and vibrancy of the Bathurst campus.

Through applying to the SRC, I wish to enrich the outreach of the greater students wishes; providing additional opportunities to both the residential cohort and further student body.

As a former Vice Captain and recipient of the highest ATAR within my school, I bring organisational skills and a conscientious work standard, aiming to enhance the SRC through a solid amount of time and effort, ultimately allowing initiatives and special occasions to run in an efficient manner.

Living in Towers this year has allowed an understanding of the typically smooth running organisations/procedures to be developed as well as the not so well oiled workings on and off campus. Starting with these small acknowledgments, of the university having both fresh and stale aspects, I wish to work together developing fresh ideas and drives to uplift the status of CSU Bathurst.

I have been a part of Bathurst SRC for the last two years now and would like to continue that tenure for the coming year.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of my SRC holding events for students all around campus for them to enjoy, making a difference for everyone and being the voice of the many.

I am also proud to represent my campus and my university as well as make many valuable connections that will help myself in future aspirations, but also use them to help connect others in their goals and aspirations.

I wish to join the SRC because I understand how important it is to give students a voice. I can bring to the table new and fresh fundraising ideas, as well as the skills required to be a confident leader.

As a former Vice Captain and recipient of the Bathurst Rotary Young Leader award, I am familiar and comfortable with representative meetings and working with others. I am able to work in a professional manner while also being friendly and approachable.

I would want to ensure that the needs and desires of all university students were met, and that the funds raised by the fundraising would be put towards student initiatives and groups. Thus creating an improved and more enjoyable learning environment.

I am interested in being a part of the Bathurst SRC as I am very passionate about making everyone's university experience as positive and enjoyable as possible. I believe all students deserve for their voices to be heard and that they should have equal opportunities to thrive.

I think I can bring an important perspective to the SRC as I am a psychology student and am very passionate about mental health. I have previously volunteered with headspace Dubbo and would love to be a representative for the university. I am also passionate about LGBTIQA+ issues and was heavily involved in the organising of the first pride march in Dubbo, NSW. I have also completed the university's ally program and am always willing to learn. I have previously worked in youth representative committees and believe I can take those experiences and use them as a part of the Bathurst SRC.

I would like to join Bathurst SRC as I would like to contribute my ideas and as well as other students ideas to university events.

I would also like to be a part of a club that encourages students to enjoy their uni life.

I wish to be a part of the SRC as I believe that the overall wellbeing of students is the most important aspect of university life.

As a member of the SRC I hope to uplift my fellow peers and encourage more strong relationships between them through the use of physical, emotional and spiritual activities to create a more rounded and holistic community.

I think it is important that facilities are made more accessible and access to healthier food for those on campus. Additionally, I would like to introduce a wider variety of sports to students of all abilities.

I think a sense of belonging is so important especially when you move out of home, and I hope that I can make Bathurst CSU a more welcoming, involved and fun place to be!

I wish to be a part of the SRC community because I believe it would be a good fit me and my personality.

As a part of the residence on campus, I wouldn’t make any major changes to the university structure but would love to see more people from different cultures and beliefs to feel more at home.

One idea that comes to mind that introduced to res life students is each house to have a world map with a history of the students ancestor’s background. This would do wonders I believe because not only does it help us learn more about other cultures but also help us to be culturally aware of the things we might say strengthening the “ No racism” movement.

The Student Representative Committee creates a connection between the student body, faculty and the community. Through this connection, voices can be heard and ideas can grow into goals that will improve the university experience for all.

As part of my vision as a SRC representative I would like to focus on sexual health education and promotion. Teaming up with other teams i.e Ochre Health and the Ally team, let’s talk about sex! University is a time to explore and sexual health promotion and education breaks down the taboos, allowing people to be informed and safe. Have fun and know your status!

As a representative of the nursing facility, I aim to improve orientation week by including First Aid and Metal Health training as an option for all students. I would like to see more community involvement at market day, connecting local business, university and the student body.
