Staff Engagement

Welcome to the MEA Staff Engagement page, your hub for updates, resources and opportunities to engage with the Models of Engagement and Assessment Practices (MEA) initiative.

Following ELT endorsement in November 2025, MEA has moved from design and consultation into preparation for implementation. Engagement in 2026 will focus on implementation planning and preparation, supporting faculties and teaching teams as they plan for course transitions from 2027 onwards.

We remain committed to open, ongoing collaboration as the initiative progresses.

2026 activities

This session outlines the current status of MEA, the staged course transition timeline, and what implementation will involve for faculties and teaching teams. It also reinforces the student-centred purpose of the initiative and the support available to staff in 2026.

MEA Roadshow – Online sessions

The MEA team hosted two online MEA roadshow sessions in August 2025.

These one-hour online sessions were offered to ensure everyone has the opportunity to connect with the MEA team, especially those who were unable to join our recent on-campus roadshows held in June and July.

Each session offers an opportunity to:

  • Hear directly from the MEA team about the initiative’s purpose, timeline and current priorities.
  • Learn more about the emerging models of engagement and future opportunities to get involved.
  • Share your own local insights, opportunities and challenges to inform the next stage of development.
