Ed Maher has over ten years of experience in the sustainability field, with qualifications in Environmental Science and Carbon Management. He is an active participant in local natural resource management groups and gets a buzz about finding ways to do the same things using fewer resources. Ed is passionate about making a real change for the future by assisting students and staff to understand what they can do to act sustainably at Charles Sturt, at home, and in their future careers. You will most likely see Ed pedalling around the Wagga Wagga Campus!

Ben is a Charles Sturt graduate with qualifications in Environmental Science and is currently working towards postgraduate qualifications in Sustainability and Environmental Management. Before coming to join the Sustainability at Charles Sturt Team, Ben held roles within the conservation and ecotourism industry working in some iconic locations across Australia. Through these experiences Ben has developed a flair for connecting people with the environment, and creating awareness and engagement in sustainable practices.

John is a proud Wiradjuri man and is tasked with accelerating project delivery and reducing Charles Sturt carbon emissions. John installed his first renewable energy system in 1998 and has been involved in delivery of many megawatts of solar since then. He is Nabers accredited, and has also completed qualifications for Design and Install Grid connect solar as well as Stand Alone Power Systems.
For the last five years John has been delivering energy efficiency projects in the manufacturing, supermarket supply chain, hospitality, education and food production sectors.

Peter has tertiary qualifications in chemical engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He has previously worked in manufacturing across a broad range of industry sectors including petrochemical, industrial goods, and wood products.

Jacqui is a Charles Sturt graduate with qualifications in Communications, Teaching and Sustainability. She has fifteen years’ experience working in sustainability education, events and community engagement and is actively involved in community groups that promote sustainability in the Port Macquarie area. Jacqui works closely with our Student Sustainability Advisers and is passionate about engaging students with sustainable practice, building and strengthening community partnerships, and working with staff to embed sustainability across the university.
