As Australia’s largest regional University, Charles Sturt University is committed to improving access, participation and success for students from underrepresented (equity) groups. This commitment is reflected by the fact that in 2024 81% of our students belong to one or more key equity groups.
We actively monitor and track applications, admissions and completion rates for students from underrepresented groups including First Nations, low socio-economic, regional and remote, disability status and gender.
These insights help us inform strategies and programs, such as our award-winning retention program, to support all students to have a successful university experience, right through to graduation.
The table below presents the proportion for students from key equity groups across three stages, successful application, commencement and completion.
