Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education(ASCILITE)

Distance Education is the official refereed journal of the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) Inc. This journal is published twice a year in May and October. ODLAA members receive the journal or direct subscriptions are available. The aim of the journal is to engender and disseminate research and scholarship in distance education, open learning and flexible learning systems. The Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) refereed journal Higher Education Research and Development is published six times per year. Its articles cover all aspects of higher education and seek to improve practice through research, evaluation or scholarly reflection. The journal may be accessed through membership to HERDSA or through the CSU Library.

International Review of Research in Open & Distributed Learning (IRRODL) is a referreed open access e-journal that disseminates original research, theory, and best practice in open and distributed learning worldwide. The Journal targets both researchers and practitioners of open and distance education systems. The case studies are especially interesting.

Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication is a quarterly electronic, refereed journal which disseminates information about computer-mediated communication to the communication community at large. It is broadly interdisciplinary, publishing work by scholars in communication, business, education, political science, sociology, psychology, media studies, information science, and other disciplines. In 2004, JCMC became an official journal of the International Communication Association.

MERLOT provides access to curated online learning and support materials and content creation tools, led by an international community of educators, learners and researchers. It is an excellent resource for information about a huge range of pedagogy and discipline topics in higher education.

OpenPraxis is the international journal of  the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE), the global membership organisation for online, open and flexible education that draws its membership from institutions, educational authorities, commercial actors, and individuals. Open Praxis is distributed twice yearly and provides information on world wide developments in the field of open learning and distance education.

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. It focuses on the management and use of computational, network, and information resources in support of higher education's missions of scholarship, instruction, service, and administration. Programs include professional development activities, print and electronic publications, strategic policy initiatives, research, awards for leadership and exemplary practices, and online information services.  EDUCAUSE Review is the association's open-access publication for the higher education IT community that looks at current developments and trends in information technology, what these mean for higher education and society. It includes peer-reviewed articles, practical advice and guidance, interactive elements, and multimedia about managing and using information resources in higher education.

Campus Review online contains news briefs, special reports, academic job advertisements for positions around the world and the Campus Review Diary which lists conferences in the coming year. It now requires a subscription login for full access to content.

ultiBASE promoted the improvement of tertiary teaching and learning. It has now been archived by the National Library of Australia through Trove.
