Awards and fellowships celebrate excellent teaching and help you build your practice and profile. Our team can help you prepare and submit applications for awards and fellowships.

Our core reward and recognition program for teaching and learning has been designed as a three-program progressive journey.

We recommend that you:

  • begin with our internal Executive Dean's Award
  • build your application over time to apply for a national teaching award
  • work towards an international fellowship.

Charles Sturt Executive Dean's Teaching Award

Be recognised for excellent teaching in your Faculty. These awards are a pathway to external teaching awards, including the AAUT.

Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT)

The AAUT are recognised across the national sector as indicators of high quality teaching. Start planning your application now.

Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellowships

HEA Fellowships are internationally recognised fellowships that recognise different levels of professional practice by those who teach and support learning.

Interested in applying for an award or fellowship? Start by reading about the available opportunities, then chat with your manager. A good time to do this is during your Employee Development and Review Scheme (EDRS) conversation.

You can also consult with the Academic Development team in the Division of Learning and Teaching (DLT) at any time.
