Awards and fellowships

Awards and fellowships celebrate excellent teaching and help you build your practice and profile. Our team can help you prepare and submit applications for awards and fellowships.

Our core reward and recognition program for teaching and learning has been designed as a three-program progressive journey.

We recommend that you:

  • begin with our internal Executive Dean's Award
  • build your application over time to apply for a national teaching award
  • work towards an international fellowship.

The programs

This sequence of awards is designed to support your academic journey at Charles Sturt University.

Want to apply?

Interested in applying for an award or fellowship? Start by reading about the available opportunities, then chat with your manager. A good time to do this is during your Employee Development and Review Scheme (EDRS) conversation.

You can also consult with the Academic Development team in the Division of Learning and Teaching (DLT) at any time.

How we support you

DLT can help you:

  • decide which program is best for you
  • understand the application process
  • plan for the long term
  • access mentoring
  • understand the financial support available.

We can also advise on development programs, conferences, seminars and a range of other award opportunities that will help you develop your application and build your career.
