The following suggested wording has been supplied to assist when drawing up a Will for client’s who have indicated their desire to leave a bequest to Charles Sturt University.

Suggested wording when establishing a specific bequest scholarship with Charles Sturt University.

‘I give to Charles Sturt University Foundation Trust (ABN 31 158 135 157) [insert as appropriate: (the sum of $XX) or (the whole of my residuary estate) or (XX% of my residuary estate) and/or (the following property....)], free of all expenses and duties of whatever kind to be used to establish one or more scholarships for [insert the academic area, course or campus to be supported). Each scholarship is to be called [insert name of scholarship].’

Suggested wording for intention to support research at Charles Sturt University.

‘I give to Charles Sturt University Foundation Trust (ABN 31 158 135 157) [insert as appropriate: (the sum of $XX) or (the whole of my residuary estate) or (XX% of my residuary estate) and/or (the following property….)], free of all expenses and duties of whatever kind to be used for research in the field of [insert the general description of the area of research]. If at any time the University considers that it is no longer possible or practical to continue the research, the University may apply the bequest to support a purpose that is most closely aligned to the original research area.’

Suggested wording for a general donation to Charles Sturt University in your Will.

I give to the Charles Sturt University Foundation Trust (ABN 31 158 135 157) [insert as appropriate: (the sum of $XX) or (the whole of my residuary estate) or (XX% of my residuary estate) and/or (the following property….)], free of all expenses and duties of whatever kind to be used to support the University’s priorities including support of research at the University.’
