The Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Functional Grains (The Functional Grains ITTC) will transform the Australian Grains Industry from a commodity-based industry into a highly efficient industry producing high quality food and feed products that exceed market expectations.

The Functional Grains ITTC is an initiative of the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation.
Dr Kenneth Chinkwo's research investigates the anti-cancer activity, antioxidant of bioactive compounds derived from cereals and pulses. He is also evaluating the health benefits of dietary polyphenols in haemostasis and platelet function.
The Functional Grains research strengths include, rice, pulses and canola.
