BSc, DVM (Distinction), MANZCVS (Surgery of Horses) Josette graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with Distinction in 2018. Following graduation, she undertook a rotating equine internship at West Coast Veterinary Hospital in Perth in 2019. From 2020-2023 she remained at West Coast Veterinary Hospital as an associate equine veterinarian in an ambulatory and hospital veterinarian role. During this time, she sat and passed Membership examinations with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Surgery of Horses in 2022, and was awarded the ANZCVS Equine Chapter’s Scone Equine Group prize. In 2023 Josette relocated to New South Wales to undertake a residency in equine surgery in a joint program between Charles Sturt University at the Veterinary Clinical Centre in Wagga Wagga, and REC Equine Specialists in Sydney. Josette enjoys the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of equine surgery but particularly enjoys management of racehorses and performance horses, emergency cases, and colic surgery. She is currently undertaking a research project alongside the residency investigating surgical techniques in corneal surgery in horses.Residents4374998
