Get a replacement card

If your card is damaged, lost or stolen, you can order a replacement card.

If you lose or damage your card

If your card is lost or damaged, you have a couple of options for getting a replacement card:

  • You can request a replacement and pay via our secure online payment site. We'll contact you when your new card's ready.
  • If you're on our Wagga Wagga or Albury campuses, you can order and print a new card at one of our card kiosks in the Library Learning Commons areas. You'll need to use your university user name and password, and the replacement card will be charged to your university account.

Your new Charles Sturt Card replaces any earlier card issued to you. Earlier cards will NOT work for any electronic access, including to buildings, and should be destroyed.

If your card is stolen or you change your name

You can order a new Charles Sturt Card for free if:

  • your card has been stolen and you've provided a copy of the police report
  • you've officially changed your name with the University.

Contact Student Central if you need a replacement card for one of these reasons.

Cards are typically produced the next working day and posted to your mailing address. Check your postal address in the Student Portal to make sure we have your correct address.

Old cards

Your new Charles Sturt Card replaces any earlier card issued to you. Earlier cards will NOT work for building access or access to financial transactions and should be destroyed.

In-between cards

You can borrow from the Library if you present another form of photo ID - e.g. a driver's license.

You will not be able to use any photocopying or printing services until you get a replacement card.
