Peer Review of Course Leadership & Design Practice provides Course Directors, Heads of School and other managers, including academics undertaking leadership roles in course design with the means to document and report on their course practices in promotion applications. The template and accompanying notes for this report are designed to recognise the multi-faceted aspects of the two main components of Leadership and Design in their roles.
For the purposes of Peer Review, all seven of the criteria on the report template should be addressed in the Reviewee Reflections. However, you are not required to allocate equal weighting to each of the criteria. Once you have identified the Peer Reviewer for your course, you can clarify the areas that you wish to highlight and for which you can request greater focus from your Reviewer. Note: This review template can be used as Peer Review evidence for promotion for applicants whose primary focus may be teaching, and who do not meet all the listed criteria on this template.
The criteria and sub-criteria in the Course Leadership & Design Report template illustrate what is expected to demonstrate effective practice. Advisory Notes for Course Leadership & Design Practice Guidelines and Advisory Notes for Course Leadership & Design Practice Learning Design Considerations are attached to the report template to inform your reflections.
