DLT Skills Self-Assessment

To support your growth and development within our team, we invite you to complete a self-assessment of your skills and knowledge based on the competencies outlined below. Please aim to be as precise as possible, as this will help you identify both development opportunities and areas where you can mentor or support others.

In this assessment, the questions are grouped into categories based on areas of capability or around a particular learning objective. You can complete each area at your own pace — focusing on one at a time and fitting it in with your current schedule.

While the skills and knowledge are grouped into categories, please review and assess all areas, as there may be skills that apply to you across all areas. It’s important for you to capture all your expertise and potential growth areas.

Each skill or knowledge has a Likert scale from 0 (Novice) – 6 (Expert).

This interactive form does not store any information. Please save your self-assessment as a PDF for your records. If you exit without saving, all data will be lost. NOTE: Your data will be retained on this computer unless cookies are disabled or another user is logged in.

You'll find a list of recommended professional learning resources to explore and engage with. This list is not definitive, and we would love to know if there are any other PDs you have found useful we can share here. Please email these to DLTAdmin@csu.edu.au for adding to this web page.

Please consult your manager if you're considering enrolling in a course requiring significant time. You may also want to formally include it in your Performance Planning Development & Review (PPDR). Additionally, if you're enrolling in tertiary education, you may be eligible for study leave.

If you have expertise in any of these areas aligned to the work of DLT and are interested in mentoring other staff, please inform your manager.
