One effective approach to calibration is for assessors to review a shared sample recording before the assessment period begins, independently apply the marking rubric, and then discuss any discrepancies to establish a shared standard. This calibration helps ensure markers apply the rubric consistently.
After completing the first few student assessments, share recordings and marking sheets with the teaching team to resolve differences early. In subsequent offerings, select a sample across the grade distribution in line with policy.
